Therapy for Moms in Fort Worth & Aledo
Maternal Mental Health
Getting the help that you and your family need.
Pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting all bring dramatic changes to women’s lives. While it can be an exciting and joyful time, issues such as infertility, pregnancy and infant loss, and the general process of transitioning to this new seasons of life can also be challenging. I’m here to help!
I offer pregnancy and postpartum counseling in Fort Worth and Aledo, Texas, specializing in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) such as postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, and birth trauma as well as perinatal loss. Together, we’ll create a safe, compassionate space to explore your experience, learn coping tools, and help you feel more grounded and connected in motherhood.
I’m here for you.
You don’t have to navigate this season of motherhood alone.
Whether you’re adjusting to pregnancy, recovering from birth, grieving a loss, or simply feeling unlike yourself, you deserve a space to feel supported and understood. My role as your therapist is to walk alongside you, with warmth, compassion, and practical guidance, as you move toward healing and balance. Together, we’ll make sense of what you’re experiencing, build tools to ease the overwhelm, and help you reconnect with the calm, confident version of yourself that’s still there underneath it all.
Feel familiar?
You are constantly worried and on edge, it doesn’t feel like you can relax.
You don’t feel like yourself anymore.
You’re exhausted but you can’t rest.
Finding yourself snapping or getting irritated quickly.
Feel like you’re just “going through the motions.”
But do I really need therapy?
You don’t have to wait until things feel unbearable; if motherhood feels heavier, lonelier, or more overwhelming than you expected, therapy can help you feel like yourself again.
CONSIDER THIS…
The sooner you get professional help, the sooner you will start feeling better. Therapy provides you with a frame of reference that will help you build a healthier perspective on some of your unwanted thoughts and feelings.
If you are so overwhelmed that adding therapy to your already-full-plate doesn’t feel plausible, remember that therapy can help you minimize those overwhelmed feelings and also decrease depression and anxiety with resources and clinical skills. If getting out of the house is too much of a barrier, consider teletherapy. With new and emerging technologies, you can engage in therapy from the comfort of your very own home.
Maybe you are not worried about how you are feeling right now, but you have a history of depression or anxiety—which can be a risk factor for postpartum depression or postpartum anxiety. Remember that any kind of support during this period is extremely valuable.
While relying on friends and family is wonderful, everyone benefits from an outside perspective. A therapist comes with a different understanding that your friends and family may not have. Therapy might be the very place you need to express yourself freely and without judgment.
When all is said and done, here’s the thing:
What you’re experiencing is real—and it’s treatable.
